The design direction focused on fashion, lifestyle imagery and a premium browsing experience. Because customers are often searching for dresses for important events and special occasions, the website needed to feel stylish, easy to browse and trustworthy.

We structured the website around a clear customer journey. Visitors can browse available dresses, use customised search functions to narrow down options, view product details, check booking availability and move towards creating an account or completing a booking without the experience feeling confusing.

From a development perspective, the project required a much more advanced setup than a standard online store. We configured the website to support dress hire functionality, allowing products to be set up as bookable items with availability and calendar-based controls.

We also built the platform around a multi-vendor marketplace structure. This allowed vendors to create accounts, set up profiles and upload their own dresses to the website. Vendors could add their own product information, descriptions and listing details, giving the platform a more scalable structure where new products could be added without everything needing to be manually managed by the site owner.

The vendor experience was also customised. We adjusted the vendor sign-up process, added vendor profile icons and configured the vendor account flow so the marketplace felt more complete, polished and easier to use.

A major part of the project involved uploading and configuring a large product catalogue, with over 300 dress hire products added to the website. These needed to be organised, presented visually and connected to the broader booking, search and marketplace structure.

We also customised the search functionality to make it easier for customers to browse and filter dress listings.
